The Rotary Club of Ashland, Oregon was Chartered by Rotary International on July 11, 1941.
At Charter Night, the club was presented gifts by three sponsoring clubs, the Rotary Club of Medford, the Rotary Club of Klamath County and the Rotary Club of Grants Pass.
The Club's first president was Ted Norby 1941-42. World War II broke out soon after the Rotary Club of Ashland was formed. Some say because of, but nobody has ever proven it.
