Easter Egg Hunt

Rotary Club of Ashland - Cancels Easter Hunt

Ashland - As you all know, events across Oregon, the Nation, and World have been cancelled for the next 4-6 weeks due to COVID-19. The Rotary Club of Ashland Board of Directors made a difficult decision to cancel the 62nd Annual Easter Hunt in Lithia Park on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. While President Alan Harper says these cancellations “leave me feeling a bit hollow,” he believes it is the “prudent and correct call at this time.” We are exploring ways to help Ashland children celebrate Easter in a safe, community-accepted way.

For over 60 years, The Rotary Club of Ashland has presented the Annual Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday.  The festivities begin with the arrival of the Easter Bunny at 12:00, and the Easter Egg Hunt begins promptly at 1:00 p.m. Over 250 dozen eggs are purchased and dyed.

The Easter Egg Hunt starts at 1:00 p.m., and will be over in just a minute or two. Kids in each of the five age groups have their own section to search for eggs, candy and two golden eggs, which are good for a special prize. The age groups include 2 years and under, 3-4 years, 5-6 years, 7-8 years and 9-10 years. The Easter Bunny greets kids and invites photos throughout the event.

The Rotary Club of Ashland was founded in 1941 and has sponsored and hosted the annual Easter Egg Hunt in Lithia Park since 1957.

Thank you all volunteers for supporting this community event.
